Saint John Chrysostom

Description: John Chrysostom - Archbishop of Constantinople, theologian, great preacher of the 4th century, patron of all those who seek the truth. Revered by the Church as a great prelate and teacher. Alexander Lokhtachev created a unique sculpture, decorated in the technique of Zlatoust steel engraving. John Chrysostom is depicted in traditional bishop's clothes. The combination of gold of clothes and the finest jewelry drawing on metal surrounds the figure of the saint with radiance. The sculptor created the image of a mature, wise man full of prayerful concentration and depth. The figure is located on a small pedestal, on which the inscription "St. John Chrysostom" is engraved. Days of Remembrance in Orthodoxy - February 12 and November 26. This sculpture is an award which is presented by the World Russian People’s Council and the Unions of Russian Writers and Artists for good deeds.
