Each rattle is painted with Khokhloma or Gorodets painting by professional artists. The ratchet is an original Russian folk instrument. It is a wooden plate connected with a nylon thread through jumpers in the form of balls with a diameter of 4 mm. The plates are made of luxury beech. The outer plates are extended upwards by 40 mm for a comfortable grip when playing. At the ends of the nylon thread, two wooden balls are attached. The ratchet is held at chest level with the protruding side plates slightly parted from below. Smoothly raise one or the other hand, achieving an even movement of the plates. 2. Hold the ratchet with one hand and play a rhythmic pattern on the bottom plates of the ratchet with the other hand. 3. The ratchet is turned upside down and played as in the first variation.
