Mostly women play the ratchets, rhythmically accompanying the magnificence, dance, game and wedding songs. In some cases, it is used as a solo instrument with singing or with a harmonica to accompany ditties, as well as as part of instrumental ensembles. To complement the timbre coloring, bells or bells were tied to it. Varieties of ratchets belonging to the category of self-sounding ones exist among many peoples of the world and have different names and external design features. It is a wooden plate connected with a nylon thread through jumpers in the form of balls with a diameter of 4 mm. The outer plates are extended upwards by 40 mm for a comfortable grip when playing.
