Russian folk noise instrument. Material - high quality, steamed and specially dried beech, birch. It is a wooden plate connected with a nylon thread through jumpers in the form of balls with a diameter of 4 mm. The outer plates are extended upwards by 40 mm for a comfortable grip when playing. At the ends of the nylon thread, two wooden balls are attached. Dimensions: Plate length 100 mm, Width 40 mm, Thickness 5 mm. Number of plates: 32 pcs. Material: beech, birch. Game techniques The ratchet is held at chest level, with the protruding side plates slightly parted from below. Smoothly raise one or the other hand, achieving an even movement of the plates. The ratchet is held with one hand and a rhythmic pattern is played with the other hand over the bottom plates of the ratchet. The ratchet is turned upside down and played as in the first variation.
